What a privilege to have been afforded the opportunity to assist our clients in realizing their dream of renovating and upgrading their newly acquired lifestyle farm, Bousval, just outside of Stellenbosch. The brief included renovating an existing cottage into a 2-bedroom home, adding a functional farm shed, including staff accommodation as well as repurposing two existing, oddly placed cottages, and a swimming pool into a proper family home.
Connecting all the dots while making the most of beautiful views to Table Mountain in the far distance and the Helderberg bowl in closer proximity proved a delightful challenge. The end-result is a contemporary, north facing family home with lots of heart, flooded with natural light and picturesque Winelands views.
