108 on Dummer is a Sectional Title Development consisting of 2 units located in a well-established area of Somerset West. The self-defined brief asked for two, completely private, dwellings to co-exist on the 1200sqm plot while still maximising climatic orientation and outdoor living spaces. Both houses consist of two barns, placed at an angle to optimise the use of the site, connected with concrete roof sections. The design language had to be, simple, honest and unpretentious and included raw materials and simplified details.
